About Angeliki
Angeliki is a Greek choir conductor, soprano and music pedagogue. She studied singing, choir conducting, music pedagogy and musicology at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague (NL), the Liszt Academy of Music (HU) and the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (GR). She also holds diplomas in piano and music theory and was a recipient of the Sarolta Kodály Scholarship (International Kodály Society), of the Α. Onassis and of the State Scholarships Foundation of Greece (Ι.Κ.Υ) during her studies.
Angeliki studied conducting with Péter Erdei, Dr. Zoltán Pad, Jos van Veldhoven and Jos Vermunt. She has participated in conducting masterclasses of Daniel Reuss, Fredrik Malmberg, Grete Pedersen, and singing masterclasses of Aris Christofellis, Sofia Kyanidou, Drew Santini, Capucine Chiaudani among others.
In 2015 she was selected to participate in the Tenso Masterclass for Conductors, organised by TENSO. Since then, Angeliki is a member of Tenso’s young conductors team and has worked with professionals choirs such as the Cappella Amsterdam, the Ηelsingin kamarikuoro and Det Norske Solistkor.
Angeliki has worked with various ensembles and choirs in Greece, Hungary, Spain and the Netherlands. She is the conductor of the Leiderdorps Kamerkoor, the Lux Kamerkoor and of the Concerto Cherise Kamerkoor. In 2020 she started her collaboration as the chief conductor of the Greek Radio Choir, conducting and recording various projects for the Greek radio and television.
As a soloist and an ensemble singer, Angeliki maintains a busy schedule. She has sung in productions with the Dutch Radio Choir, the project Meesters & Gezellen (2016) under the baton of conductors such as Daniel Reuss, Sigvards Klava, Michael Gläser and Bernard Haitink.
As a music pedagogue, she has applied the principals of Zoltán Kodály’s philosophy in teaching pre-school music, music theory, solfege and piano for more than a decade. She is regularly invited to lead workshops in Kodály’s Music Pedagogy. Angeliki was teaching at the Nationale Koren (Netherlands) and since 2016 she teaches music theory, aural skills, analysis and choir at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague and at the School for Young Talent (Royal Conservatoire The Hague).
